Victorian Valentine Card Cherub Mailbox Love Letter

The pitch-black void surrounding this entire scene — the kind that would make Edward Gorey nervous — frames a pint-sized cherub in wings and flowing white dress apparently working a night shift at the world's most floral postal service, depositing a tiny envelope into a massive blue mailbox wallpapered in forget-me-nots and topped with a red heart. The child is also inexplicably hauling what appears to be a large green boot or vessel, suggesting that whatever romantic message is being delivered comes with significant baggage — emotionally and literally. The ribbon-tied bow dangling off the side of the mailbox does absolutely nothing to dispel the sense that this reads less like 'sweet Valentine' and more like 'toddler conscripted into delivering cursed mail at midnight.'
