Victorian Easter Greeting Card with Anthropomorphic Chicks & Eggs

The pastoral meadow setting that makes this card so picturesque is also ground zero for an existential crisis: four baby chicks in elaborate floral and ribbon-trimmed hats have apparently unionized to spell out 'EASTER' across a row of oversized eggs — one letter per egg — while 'Greetings' is written in the grass below, as if the eggs weren't already doing enough work.
