Vintage St. Patrick's Day Greeting Card with Irish Leprechauns

With expressions of unbridled merriment and bodies leaning heavily against each other and the comically oversized '17', two portly, top-hat-wearing gentlemen have arrived to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, one clutching what appears to be a fiddle and the other gripping the pole of a green Irish harp flag as if they've been using it for support since their third whiskey. The green sashes, shamrock accessories, and 'Erin Go Bragh' banner overhead complete the full regalia of men who absolutely did not clear their St. Patrick's Day plans with their wives. It's a cheerful, if aggressively on-the-nose, celebration of Irishness — the kind of card sent in 1903, as the postmark suggests, by someone who thought 'what if we made Ireland into a number' was a perfectly normal artistic concept.
