Vintage Thanksgiving Die-Cut Card with Turkey & Girl

The gleeful optimism of this scene is remarkable, considering the Thanksgiving industrial complex somehow decided the perfect holiday greeting was a magnificently fanned-out turkey standing beside a small girl in a Dutch costume—white bonnet, wooden clogs, colorful layered dress and all—as if the Pilgrims had somehow colonized Amsterdam along the way. The turkey, to his credit, is absolutely stunning, tail feathers spread in full peacock energy, completely unbothered by the festive implications of the holiday he's starring in. Meanwhile, the girl grins with the cheerful vacancy of someone who has not been informed what Thanksgiving is actually for.
