Victorian Santa Christmas Card - Children Window Scene

The composition frames Santa outside a brightly lit window in the dark winter night, hand raised to his face in what can only be described as 'ominous contemplation,' while a woman holding a baby and a child inside stare back at him — and that's where things get uncomfortable.
